Grooming Your Stuffed Teddy Bears

Teddies like to be groomed just like everyone else. If left unkempt your stuffed bear toy will stop keeping his/her appearance up they begin to look old and tattered.

In case your stuffed bear toy is looking a little squished because he got flattened from being inside the toy box shake him out. By doing that teddy tends to fluff his fur back out and relocate the beads or fluff inside him. Believe it or not some teddies enjoy You to pull on them. From time to time You will notice that Your stuffed teddy has a deformed face because your little brother is always dragging him around. If this happens don’t worry just stretch out his face. Teddies are meant to be handled rough, they want to play too. Continue to stretch teddy’s face till You are satisfied with the expression of Your bear’s face.

A stuffed bear toy loves his coating brushed; to them it is just like someone scratching their backs. But be extra careful not to pull out his coat. That hurts your teddy as much as it would hurt You. Some stuffed bears are unable to have their coat brushed, instead try blow drying them out. After You may want to fluff them with a fork.

Over the course of time teddy bear toys can lose that shiny look in their eyes. Sometimes it can get all scratched up while on other times it may just get dirt on them. Simply take a tablecloth and wipe it over his eyes. You may even want to use a tiny bit of water to get any dirt or marker that is being iron handed. If the eyes are all scratched out the best solution is to buy the new ones. Same as with eye glasses, You can clean them when they are dirty but when they are scratched You go and get the new ones.

When grooming your stuffed toy bears take this opportunity to dust them, use a vacuum to quickly go over his coat. If your teddy bears still look a little dirty simply wash them down with a wet rag. You should never put teddies in water. The only time you put them in water is if it says washable teddy bear on the teddy’s box or his label. Now that your teddy bears are all pretty and groomed, you can take them out for a cookout. Remember to bring the honey anyhow.
