Remember when You were a kid and You decorated and redecorated You room every once in a while. It just had to be different from everyone else’s room. Decorating children room with teddy bears is relatively easy. You should remember however that You are decorating your child’s room, not your room when you were his/her age. If You were anything like me You probably wanted to sleep in a mountain of teddies but Your child may not. Naturally if Your child is anything like you, he/she will go for it. This is great bonding time You will have with Your child and besides he/she may already have a certain teddy bear theme of their own in mind. After consulting with Your child make a list of all the “teddy ornaments” you’ll need to decorate their room before you head out to shopping. You don’t want to forget something and then go back to shopping again. If You are not a “shop-a-holic” this will exhaust You.

You’ll have the most fun decorating the baby’s room. This is because You can decorate it in Your own style, no consulting is needed. Naturally You can find a never-ending supply of teddy bears to decorate with. Enjoy this time because it could very well be the only time you can go hog wild on decorating with teddy bears in your child’s room.

Using teddy bear toys in the child’s room can change the atmosphere in the room from serious to playful. Every room in its natural state is as plain as it can be, but the moment you toss teddy bears on a book shelf and on the bed it already looks a little bit friendlier. Be careful not to add too many teddy bears as you don’t want them to end up in the hallway. Besides teddies, there is great number of other teddy bear ornaments to choose from.

In Your child’s life this is the stage when everything is hiding in the closets and under the bed, but with a couple of bear friends, your child will sleep through the night. Teddy bears on shelves makes the children feel safe and lets them know that their “friends” are watching out for them.

Dark is always uncomfortable for a child so be sure to add a bit of light to the room. You can do this by bringing in a lamp with teddy bears on the shade. If you can’t find any teddy bear lamp, buy a plain white lamp shade and sponge paint teddy bears all over it. If You want to add a few more teddy bear ideas to the room you can always look for some paintings, wall hangings or teddy bear border.

To tell You the truth, teddy bears can be decorating in just about every room of the house. Just by adding a couple of teddy bears in your living room you make the room feel cozy and warm like a cottage. You can place them on the tables, maybe on a chair and over your mantle. I envy You on how much fun You will have decorating with teddy bears, so head on out there and get that room done.
